The price you see first is rarely the price you pay for a car in Mallorca.

Taxes, deposits, fuel rules and extras come later, and they can outweigh a discount. This guide shows you how to get 10% off with our partner offUgo, and which costs to check before you pay.

The quickest way to 10% off: offUgo and MALLORCA10

For 10% off, book through offUgo and enter MALLORCA10 before you pay, then check that the price drops. Booking and collection are fully digital, so there is no queue at a rental desk.

Before you book: check these points
Tick off what applies to your trip before you pay.

The code must be entered at booking, and the 10% reduction must then appear in the price summary.

Taxes, insurance, parking and fees can outweigh the discount, so compare the full amount for your exact dates and car.

The deposit depends on the company and the option you choose, and some companies refuse debit cards.

Return the car with the same fuel level as at pick-up, or you may pay for the missing fuel plus a fee.

From May to September, book one to two months ahead for more car choice and better rates.

Some companies use a shuttle, others park the car in the airport car park, so plan the handover before you land.

Compare the total, not the daily rate

A daily rate means little without the dates, the car class and what is included. Compare the final total for your exact dates and car, because that is the amount you pay.

From May to September, book one to two months ahead. You get more car choice and better rates.

The deposit: the cost that can outweigh a discount

Take a rental costing €400: 10% off saves you €40. The deposit blocked on your card is often a much larger sum, so check it before you book, because it sets how much money you need available during your trip.

With offUgo, the deposit is €160 with Go Keyless and up to €300 with Go Classic. Debit cards are accepted, except Electron and Maestro cards. Other companies can ask for much more, especially without their full insurance, so always read the deposit line before comparing prices.

Fuel, insurance and extras to check on the quote

Before paying, check taxes, extras and parking costs on the final quote. These are the lines that change the total most:

  • Fuel policy: with a “same level” policy, return the car with the fuel level you received it with. Photograph the gauge at pick-up and return, because missing fuel is charged with a management fee.
  • Insurance and excess: basic cover always includes third-party liability, but you remain liable for damage to the car up to the excess. Check that amount, or the price of the option that removes it.
  • Extra drivers and young drivers: many companies charge per day for an extra driver or a driver under 25.
  • Airport fees and parking: check whether an airport delivery fee or a car park ticket is added.

Picking up your car at Palma Airport

Companies at Palma Airport use one of three methods: a desk in the terminal, a shuttle to an off-airport depot, or a car waiting in the airport car park. A shuttle adds waiting time after you land, which matters with children or late flights.

Plan how you will reach your rental car before you land at Palma Airport.

With offUgo, your car is in the airport car park or reached by shuttle, so check which applies to your booking. For direct pick-up, you pay the parking ticket up to €15 and offUgo covers anything above.

Not driving on day one? See our guide to getting from Palma Airport to the city centre.

Your next step is to price your exact dates and car, enter MALLORCA10, and keep the booking only if the 10% appears in the price summary.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should you book car hire in Palma?

Book one to two months ahead if you travel from May to September, when demand peaks.

From November to March, two to three weeks is usually enough. Booking early gives you a wider choice of cars, which matters most in summer.

Is third-party liability insurance included in every car rental in Spain?

Yes. In Spain, third-party liability is compulsory and included in the rental price. It covers damage you cause to other people, but not damage to the car you rent. For that, check the excess and deposit before you book.

Do I need a credit card to rent a car in Mallorca?

Not always. offUgo accepts debit cards for the deposit, except Electron and Maestro cards. Many other companies require a credit card in the main driver’s name, so check before you book.

Can I combine MALLORCA10 with another offer?

Promo codes are usually not combinable. Enter MALLORCA10 and check the final price in the summary before you pay.
